Currently, matrices are delimited by parentheses. For 1x1 matrices, it is not easy to tell that from an ordinary - possibly spurious - bracket level.
Proposal: use square brackets for delimiting a matrix in display.
I do not know if FunctionsExtensions can modify built-in operator shapes, therefore assignment of the issue is kept open.
