If I type "m ctrl-g A" it shows microamp. But if I type "k O ctrl-g" it doesn't show kohm (and it should show the greek ohm symbol).

the shortcut for Omega is W + CTRL + G therefore you have to type k + W + CTRL + G or k + w + CTRL +G + TAB
O + CTRL +G is for omicron
Look at the activebook of Martin Kraska for all the combinations (Extensions Manager > Interactive books - the file about Greek Characters is also here in the SVN)
