 Description

That's a tiny issue that can be shown only if you force the custom region to have a transparent background on resizing (f.e. Using the snapshot region).

If you reduce the region size, the canvas content under the region (as z-index) is shown, but if you enlarge the region the canvas content disappears.

This is somewhat reminiscent of overlapping layers misbehaving. Once upon a time, while working on a web-based infographic editor, I dealt with similar issues where resizable elements with transparent backgrounds would leave trails or ghost images during resizing operations Slope Unblocked. The problem stemmed from the order of operations in the rendering engine and how it handled alpha blending. It was a painful debugging session involving deep dives into the browser's rendering pipeline.

Has anyone else noticed image quality issues with custom regions when resizing? I found that using a transparent background makes the issue much more prominent - pixelation around the edges becomes really noticeable. Changing the interpolation method helped a bit, but didn't eliminate it entirely. By the way, did you know that Pacman 30th Anniversary ?
