 Description

Friends, we are planning to open a small coffee shop in London. Please advise us on how to properly organize waste disposal for a business in the UK. We are interested in food waste, packaging, and recycling. We don't want any problems with the council or fines at the start.

In the UK, a household bin is not suitable for businesses; you must have a separate contract for commercial waste. For a coffee shop, it is important to separate food waste, general waste, and recycling, and to have a waste transfer note. We went through this last year in Manchester and used the Affordable Waste Management service . They help you find a supplier for your area, explain the council's requirements, and it often works out cheaper than going directly. It's convenient if you're just entering the market.
