Path Picker Region

Installation

Inside the program: "Tools" > "Plugins..." then switch "Local Storage" button to "Online Gallery", finally search for this plugin in the list, select it and click "install".

Offline installation: go to the extension's page, download the plugin, then drag & drop the zip archive into the program canvas. If you are not running the latest SMath Studio version, ask the developer or the community to know the appropriate plugin version.

Usage

Click on "Insert" > "Controls" > "Path picker"; a new region will be added on the canvas.

In the math placeholder, place the name of a variable where you want to store the path.

The variable will be an empty string "" up to when you will choose a path.

Right-click on the region, and choose the best options for you from the context menu:

- Browse directories / Browse files

This changes the type of items you can pick once you click on "Select...".

- Relative path

Check it to have the path relative to your worksheet; the worksheet must be saved somewhere in order to generate a relative path.

- Clear

Clear the path if one was already selected.

Finally you can pick the path by clicking on:

- Select...

Open the path picker dialog.

SMath Viewer

A dedicated input control is generated in SMath Viewer if the region is enabled. If a description is set and visible, it will be used on the LHS to describe the control.
