 Description

The image region has problems to correctly align the labels from gnuplot svg images. Therefore, in most cases it is desirable to use PNG format.

It seems that for svg format, the gnuplot option "enhanced" leads to wrong alignment of text in both the image region and in the Maxima Draw region.

Therefore, there is no chance to get correctly aligned images with enhanced text features in SMath.

The default format for the draw functions and regions has been set to png

The default text mode is enhanced except for the svg mode of the draw regions, as there is no point displaying wrongly aligned plots. The draw function, however, allows to export files for display in other applications, where the svg with enhanced text mode display correctly.

This would be easy to do but I try to avoid UI changes unless I see that there is now way to get the svg display right.
