Empty space inserted when collapsed region is deleted - BTS issue SS-51 - Messages

When a collapsed area region is deleted (by marking it and pressing DEL), then it is virtually expanded and then removed, leaving the space behind that the expanded version would have taken. If you insert and delete snippets of considerable size, this may well be quite annoying, as you need to delete the space line by line. Happens both in 4884 and 4902.
The space is perhaps there all the time, just hidden by the collapsed area region. If that is deleted, the hiding function is gone...

And the opposite is either problematic: if you copy a (collapsed) region from a file, and paste to another file, then you have to provide the empty area in advance, of overlapping will occur.
It would be nice to provide an option to insert something and automatically shift down the contents under the insertion point.

Hello Martin,
Try to select a separator or area delimiter, and right click on them. Does crash happen?

No, under no circumstances I get a crash related to separators. I tried 4902 and 4884 as well as light blue marking and edit marking, always access the context menu without problems (in 4902 I use the portable version with . and , settings).
However, I see that the context menu offers language choice even for separator lines which take no text input. That does not really harm but is perhaps not the design intent.

Hmm... I do not know what to say about this. I guess you would agree this is a peculiar behavior. Suppose Andrey will have the final word about it.

Now the problem made it to my installation as well. Don't ask me, what caused the change. Context menu of separators is not accessible any more. Continue button works.

All I can do is to attach the Details text after the Unhandeled Exception,
