Hello,
I suggest you not to try to open Mathcad files. SMath is not a Mathcad clone and I do not believe it would ever be. SMath can only open rather simple Mathcad *.xmcd files and there is no Mathcad<->SMath converter or anything similar.
Regards,
Radovan

I'm sorry -I was not concise enough -I cannot open the *.xmcd files I created with Smath 0.93 (saved in this format so a colleague can open with his mathcad)

Why do not tell your college simply to download SMath and send him your *.sm file. It is much simpler

This might be what it takes to convince him :d Seriously though, he was very impressed with it a few weeks ago when I showed it to him. He even presented it to his classroom of students, some of which were overjoyed to see it. Thank you for all that you do.

I found that if I opened the mathcad file with wordpad and deleted everything from to SMath would open the file.

Thank you for working on this issue. It still does not seem to work for the mathcad sheets that I am using. I still have to delete everything between the . Please let me know if you need anything else from me. I would be happy to send you a copy of one of the mathcad sheets that are causing the issue.

Yep, it seems I need an example sheet to reproduce the issue.
Best regards, Andrey Ivashov.

WroteVer. 0.95 still has the issue with *.xmcd files created with ver. 0.93... Still shows "Input string was not in a correct format"
I confirm, after updating the 25-June-2012 (SMath-Studio-0-95-4559), the problem is not solved yet. The new versions of Smathstudio not open xmcd files that older versions opened. thanks ST

Andrey has been working hard to squash the bugs I introduced when trying to improve this plugin.
I have fixed the issue and committed the file.
I will try to attach the new dll if you need it right away.
Jeff.
XMCDFileType.zip (16 KiB) downloaded 135 time(s).

Great work Guys
I have tried the new .dll with some old basic files and it works ok
I have tried this retaining wall design sheet and it does not work so well.
Tried a cut and paste from mathcad but that just gives a picture of the text in smath.
Any suggestion on how to get a better import?
Justin
