Headers and footers - Messages

Most engineering calculations now a days are done using a template that includes the header of the company that would you would normally see on a hand calculation pad. Word is most flexible about the appearance. Excel and MathCAD have the flexibility of a left block, center block and right block that can contain various information. I've included an example of something like our companies calculation header. As with Word, Excel and MathCAd the calculation may not be the first sheet of the calc. So the sheet numbering needs to start with something other than 1. Then these sheets are collated into a larger calc, typically produced with Word including table of contents, lots of descriptive text, other calcs and computer results.

Below is an example of another companies calculation sheet header to show how diverse they can be. Their's include a revision status block.

Same could be said of a footer.
Something to think about.

Resurrecting an older topic:
I would like:
I would like:
- Documentation for available tags to be used in the header footer (implemented in .88, that screen shot is all I know of for available commands to be used in the header/footer area)
- Documentation of Rev .92 implementation of colors "Added internal support for color and alignment of the Header and Footer text on print out". My current page setup looks similar to the screen shot above, with added worksheet options.
- Ability to modify header/footer and have the information stay "with the sheet ". Old forum comment, Andrey mentioned this data stays with the program and is carried over to the next sheet
- Ability to use plugins (e.g. WriterRegion)

WroteBeing able to do something like what is shown above would be fantastic!
Make a template [model sheet], fill it with Smath stuff.

WroteUnder Page Setup, please add a list of available "special tags" that can be used (e.g.
1. Footer is pretty universal, like in *.PDF
2. Header time ... date, hr:min:sec make the document legal
Anything else would be non-sense to me
... something like "Happy birthday GrandMa"
instead of the document name/date

Jean,
I believe there were additional "tags" that are now allowed. I cannot find my list/link. That is why I am asking for the special keys to be published.
Please remember, what works for others may not be applicable to you

In this case, I am defining tags as &[DATE], &[TIME], etc.

WroteIn this case, I am defining tags as
You can edit at will Date, Time ... FileName
You can edit for printing, but I don't think
it will save. As it looks it belongs to Win.
If you can't save your tag ... great because
your tagging will not pass quality control.
If you could save your tagging, your document
will just go to recycle bin in case of dispute.
It is more and more common !! Professionals !! freak their documents on detected mistakes.
Suppose: I calculated an orifice plate last week and gave for fabrication ... just done.
I made a mistake, and corrected my work sheet. I will lose the dispute just on time/date.
A document that you could freak the universal time/date is just for lighting the fireplace.
Mathcad 11 page setup was a bit more versatile [more fields].
