Simply deceptive from deceptively simple !
It can only be doctored as exemplified Quick Plot.
Pretty odd encounter in Engineering works.

If some oddness in SMath can be overcome with line() or parameters, then it is not a bug.

Not all possible parameter sets are currently supported. The format of the input data was not carefully worked out. Developers need to formalize an agreement on this format so that there is an unambiguous interpretation.
