Hello,

does anybody know how to get a dot or a line over a variable as shown in the picture?

Hi,

diacritical marks seems are not implemented.

trying combining characters like
X̅ X̿ Ẋ Ẍ X̊ X̑
, the mark is moved to the right.

to have something like above you can use the available (not combinated) characters from charmap, like ÿ or ȳ.

The only non-standard symbols that can be used as variables are "primed" letters, e.g., x', y', etc. Double-primed and higher are not allowed.

In Germany there are quit common diacritical marks in use (e.g. volume flow, mass flow, derivatives, ...). As long as this is not implemented I need to create my own values for that.

Hi, an alternative for dotted variables could be to use apostrophes:
Dotted vars

Hello,

I might not understood this quite well, but if you can find some character in the character map (doted, accented - whatever) there is most likely that you can make a variable by using it - just have to try. Take a look at this picture please.

Radovan
