using lookup function not work in sqrt command - Messages

hi all,
i try using lookup function descirebed by admin, however it's not work in using sqrt commands.

what a poblem? anybody can help?

Hello,
The problem is that "x" variable is a matrix with single element - pay attention on the brackets. Therefore, square root of a matrix is not defined in SMath.
Try this:
[MATH=eng]x:mat(6,1,1)[/MATH]
[MATH=eng]sqrt(el(x,1))=2.4495[/MATH]

hi,
when using lookup function the bracket are in matrix mode by default

i can not using these extracted data from lookup function to make further calculation using sqrt commands
