Please help me understand what I am inputting incorrectly. I have used the "roots(2)" function before. Also, if there is a more simple way to solve the unknowns let me know. I was trying to avoid linear algebra as getting the unknowns in expanded form would be difficult.

With fewer variables, it worked fine as shown in the first image of the PDF
Doc1.pdf (84 KiB) downloaded 38 time(s).

Thanks for the Help!

You possibly wrote something wrong.
It did work at my computer.
Next time please provide your doc.sm file too.
It will be much more easier to understand the problem.
And no one would need to write your entire sheet from scratch.

overlord:
Thank you for the quick reply. Sorry I was only able to revisit this today, and sorry I did not attach the original document.

I tried it a few more times and changed some things around.
I removed the syntax error, but now the "roots" function endlessly calculates but never gives an answer. I have let it run for 15 minutes but no solution.

Have you experienced this issue before?
Attached is the actual document if you or anyone else would like to view it.

Thanks!

Okay, I tried it again and was able to get an answer using different variables for Theta. The function did not like using numbers as subscripts to variables. It is all working now.
Thanks!
