In Smath [Mathcad, Mathematica ... ], a "sheet" is a "work sheet".
Let's say that a work sheet is a project, that can be several pages long,
i.e: a whole that can't be split. What would "Tab page" do versus the scroll
cursor that moves up/down at will. If you alternate your visit(ssssss) among
small pieces, collapse and name them mnemonic ... far better than sheet [1,2,,,].
On the other hand, Smath has better than "Page Tab", it cumulates all the
work sheets in the menu Pages.

I am guessing he means tabs with different files on different tabs, a la a web browser, more than multiple sheets within one SM file?
This is now such an entrenched UI model for MDI, that I expect it to be that way as well.
So while "Pages" is functional, it is now bucking the users expectations, as tabbed browsing is now universal.

Projects don't drop from blue sky. Commonly, I may have near 2 dozen
of documents in Pages of immediate access, sometimes with long titles
for easy mnemonic recognition. Your "Tab" would be of no use in my
10 " laptop. I have no recollection users suggested "Tab".
All your features could have been collected in 1 thread, not plugging
the forum. Regular Collabs have to open all other Conferences to make
sure that Doctors didn't miss their sickness .
