Beta: SMath Studio 0.99.7204 (22 September 2019) - Messages
Application can be easily extended based on your needs. Built-in Extensions Manager tool allows to get access to hundreds official and third-party resources of the following types: usage examples, plug-ins, SMath Viewer based applications, snippets, interface translations, interactive books, handbooks and tutorials.
It provides numerous computing features and rich user interface translated into about 40 different languages. Application also contains integrated mathematical reference book.

Improvements
- Toolbar items added: Font Name, Bold, Italic, Inderline.
Corrections
- Switching chars from English to Greek and vice versa (Ctrl+g) corrected for MathRegion if Fields and/or unicode chars used inside.
Miscellaneous
- Toolbar items rearranged and behaviors improved;
- Switching chars from English to Greek and vice versa (Ctrl+g) implemented for children Regions;
- Copying Regions contains children Regions using Ctrl+mouse move fixed;
- Rendering of children Regions improved so they better integrated into the container Region content;
- Special characters mode made applicable for children Regions;
- It is now possible to debug and use breakpoints in the children Regions;
- Children Regions stability improved.

Problem for me is I can't change font, bold, italic or underline options.
Toolbar is there but not working. Windows 10 Pro x64 v1903 if it helps.
And a suggestion, the font selection should be with searchable combobox.

*sorry, I had tried to change font outside of the text region. This is not possible for now I guess.
I figured out you had to be inside the text region and select the text to alterate the font, obviously.
(Font doesn't support style regular)
For usability I'd recommend to expose just a small subset of the fonts in the selector (say arial, roman and courier) and leave further options to the context menu or some expert mode.
Also, I recommend to set arial as default font of text widgets (as in Writer plugin).
I guess we will see the option to apply attributes to selected text instead of the whole region soon.

It is currently searchable actually. Just press first char of the font name you want while dropdown is opened.
I get a (recoverable) soft crash when browsing fonts with the font selector widget. The preview of some fonts is empty in the dropdown list.

Yes, will do this. Previously (before TextRegion reviewed) it was not possible.

I had figured text has to be focused, not region. Edited the previous message near 1 hour ago, sorry.

Yes, as for now I agree. But I bet every new user will be frustrated when finding out that text formatting can't be applied just to the selection.
Another (hopefully temporary) workaround is to embed a text region into another text region and to format it separately. However, there are alignment glitches and you can't copy and past such embedded texts:

Looks like you have saved broken document in 7200. The issue there was that it was not able to load translations for descriptions, so after save it saved everything except those descriptions. Now there are no descriptions, because these entries lost.
Another (hopefully temporary) workaround is to embed a text region into another text region and to format it separately. However, there are alignment glitches and you can't copy and past such embedded texts:

That image looks same SS 6179 fails to open SS 7109.
Just observed similar incompatibility ... ?
have strictly no interest in the math suite of project(s).
For publishing, SS 6179 is very similar/superior to
OriginLab 7.5... superior to Mathcad 11.
No shame to publish the attached ... organize at will.
Images in Forum aren't 1/1 in file any more [several months].

The file I used did not record it in the SS-7200 version, and it was the one I used to test the SS-7202 version, which worked perfectly.
I did another test on SS-7204 with files that I didn't open in any of the mentioned versions, and the function of displaying the variable description fails.

Also any text that was 8 font as soon as I move it or copy it, it changes to size 10.
I can't change the default font size. Currently it is set at 10. If I try to change it in the "ribbon", it just switches back to 10 instantly. If I try to via tools-> options, it will change for one text region, but as soon as I finish it changes back to 10.

Unfortunately, the font size cannot be changed and is always set to '10'
