Thank you for your assembly!
I use them for a long time! Everything works well! Long time no update from you. Worth the wait?
I hope to update the distribution by end of march (2016)

thank you for your wonderful package. Will you also include a newer version of maxima then maxima 5.34? My firewall creates a lot of problems with maxima 5.34. I experienced no severe interferences with maxima 5.38 and the firewall but the communication between Maxima and SMath was in my case insufficient.

Good afternoon!
If you are unable to upgrade, then tell me how you created it. It is possible to do, if we can understand.
Thank you.
Make it done as you describe, but that some plugins are buggy (Maple, Maxima). So the work, but not in the last portable version of Martin.

Creating an updated portable distribution is quite simple:
The problem with shared Maxima's symbolic functions (those handled by MaximaTakeover - diff, int, etc...): seems that in the latest SMath Studio distributions if a function is overridden in the name but is not overridden as function is no more possible to call the function from another plugin (as stated by Martin, you can use MaximaTakeover("all") to use the Maxima engine to do the work)
- Create a portable version of SMath Studio (instructions in the spoiler);
- Go in the download page and download the Desktop Linux version of SS
- Unpack/unzip the archive in a folder where you want (you can use 7zip or anything else - you have to do it twice, both for the gz and the tar archives)
- In that folder create a new empty txt file, and call it "portable.version" (you must have the "Hide extensions for known file types" option of your OS disabled);
you can unzip this to make it simple portable.version.zip (166 B) downloaded 106 time(s). - That's all, you have a portable* SMath Studio; launch it, open your files, download the extensions made for that version of SS. The installed version or other portable versions does not interact.
* The .NET framework must be installed on the system (like for the installable version), this makes the application not "fully portable"; this is why there's not an official portable version in the download page. - Go in the download page and download the Desktop Linux version of SS
- Copy the "Maxima-5.34.1" folder from the one in the existing portable distribution to the same position in the new one;
- Download Maxima plug-in and all the plug-ins you need;
- in the folder "{PORTABLE_PATH}\extensions\plugin\44011c1e-5d0d-4533-8e68-e32b5badce41" paste the file "maxima.xml" copied from the same location of the existing portable distribution
