I needed to write an interval in a text field using square brackets, which the program refused... [As You can see I can make them].

Is it possible to do this some other way?

I would also like to be able to assign value to a variable and on the same line print the result.

Example:

x:=2*5+9=19

Is this possible?

When I type the same thing in Notepad (I couldn't find a way to upload the screendumps):

These are square [brackets]

I get this result in Smath:

These are square brackets

I have tried on two different workstations (one with Windows XP - the other with Windows 7 installed) - both danish versions.

Danish computer / keyboard here. Same error here. I can't make brackets in text fields o.0

Same error on laptop (Danish Keyboard too ...)

Will try changing keyboard layouts
EDIT: I set my keyboard to English (UK). Alas no help. I could reproduce brackets in notepad, but not smath (I hit the right keys :P)
