Modify a .exe files - Messages
#1 Posted: 4/18/2021 6:55:40 AM
Hi everybody,
I tried to search for the same problem but I have found nothing.
I created a new_file.exe with smath.
Could I open and modify the related new_file.sm if I, unfortunately, forgot to save it?

Hi. If you make the exe file with the full version, I guess that you have a button for do that. With the free version you can save as "SMath Viewer file type" xml with Control-S.
Best regards.

Hi. I guess you can't. It's a format for the viewer, not for the program.
But actually I don't know about the SMath internals, only know a few things about the program when they are reflected back to the user, such as the use of Control-S or the xml formats, just because they are open source files.
Please, check this information at this post:
"Taking everything into account I decided to try to change something... and to introduce subscriptions. Preliminary, there are 3 options to be available:
1) Simple: SMath Studio in the Cloud in guest mode, SMath Studio Desktop will work as it does today;
2) Existing account at smath.com: personalized SMath Studio in the Cloud, auto fill properties for new worksheets from the user Profile, synchronization of the settings, etc.;
3) Paid plan (f.e. annual, based on the number of users in Organization): unlimited disk space on SMath Studio in the Cloud, full featured SMath Viewer Pro, deep integration with SMath Studio in the Cloud; additional documents backup options; support by e-mail/Skype."
Best regards.
Alvaro.

The whole point of .exe files is to protect the logic of the calculation sheet. There is a good chance that converting back to .sm is probably no easy task.

Преобразовать обратно не сможешь, а вот если нажать печать, то должен распечататься лист файла .sm. Ну а потом ручками. Я только такой вариант нашел.
