I have got a single row and 8 columns matrix with name fc, I would like to get 1/fc which is literally 1/ of every element in the matrix.

The standard method is covered in the interactive handbook [?]> Mathematics> Vectors and Matrices> Elementwise application of functions
or in section 4.9.5 of the pdf manual. The other methods depend on third party plugins.
