Hello Everybody,

I have been working lately on dynamic structural problem, with symbolic resolution.

I have made the following calculation sheet, that work's fine,
cantilever2.sm (51 KiB) downloaded 44 time(s).
However i had to find a workaround to be able to get my result.
After some specific steps of resolution, I had to write by hand the result of the previous steps, not to get issues.

I have put in yellow the different steps i would like to remove from the calculation.

Is there a way to extract the solution of the symbolic as a text (no more links, pointers, or i dont know how to call it )?
I am thinking on writing the result as a text, and then reread it, or someting like that...

Not sure if that's feasible but it would be great !

In parrallele, i have been playing with ode solver, but i am not sure if it can get me the eigenvalues of my problem.. i need to dig a bit more on that matter.

Thank you for reading and any tips

Pierre

NB: For some reason it looses the symbolic evaluation of equation 3 resolution when i save it

Hi. Hope this helps.

cantilever2.sm (42 KiB) downloaded 53 time(s).

Best regards.
Alvaro.

Thank you Razonar for such a neat solution.

On the bvp i like a lot the way you used the mathcad block to combine both the input and the solver, it's a clean way to do.

I have found a lot of different ODE solver on the forum,
But I have not found a "list" of all solver available.

Do you know if such a list exists?

Regards,

Pierre

Smath Studio ... 17 ODE solvers
Smath Solver ... 12 ODE [MatLab solvers absent]

ODE 0_Model General Copy.sm (38 KiB) downloaded 39 time(s).

Hi Pierre. Each plugin have the list of its functions and components at the first post in the Extensions' Forum section.

Also, under insert function you can select the functions by plugin and also do a keyword search for all functions with 'diff' or similar keyword.

Finally, the most extense and precise resource is the Martin's Interactive SMath Handbook where almost all the functions of SMath and its extensions are excellently described. You can download it using Tools / Plugins / Interactive books and choose "Online gallery" for the first time.

Best regards.
Alvaro.
