What does mean "does not work"?

You need to be in the settings directory or installation directory for the interactive book to work. This is a bug or feature in the interactive book mechanism.

What do you mean by style differences? What is the particular problem? Please add screenshots or the like (use the paperclip button in the forum post editor to attach files or images)

Hello,

I think that your problem was that in tha Martin's Handbook you have to pres CTRL+Left mouse click and in the Reference book made by Andrey (goes with SMath) it is enough Left mouse click to open other worksheets. Actually, I think there is still no simple way to make these Handbooks like Andrey did.

Radovan

Radovan, thanks for pointing this out. I had forgotten about this. The behaviour of the links depends on the read-only status of the handbook files, at least this was so some years ago. I considered the handbook browser being just a workaround for a real help system. But as you see, workarounds can last for long time.

If that is really the source of the problems reported above, I see two options to avoid it:
- I could write a script to set all files read-only and then test if this leads to functional restrictions of the handbook pages.
- The user could care the instructions on the main handbook page.

Hello Martin,

As you say, ...workarounds can last for long time...

I was expecting that, after such a long time, your Handbook would have worked (regarding to the links and the menu items Home, Back, Copy) like the other Reference book (made by Andrey long time ago). Unfortunately, it is still in the workaround state. As I mentioned many times, your Handbook should be the main Reference SMath book (and a real Help system) at the moment IMHO. Why this is still not the case, I do not know.

Regards,
Radovan
