Saving Error - File saved but changes made disappeared - Messages

Dear All,
I recently saved an sm file overnight and when I opened this morning the changes I made were gone! The time stamp on the file is correct (~1 AM) but none of the changes I made between 5 PM and 1 AM are shown. I finished with over 30 pages but now the file is down to 18.
I used SMath File Recovery Development Tool and the "XML structure is not corrupted"
I am new to this program and using the most recent version. I've attached the file (last saved at 12:58 AM 06/24/2020). Can someone please help me restore?
Drilled Shaft Axial Capacity - Makai & Mauka Abutment Analysis (2020-06-16 GH).sm (4 MiB) downloaded 36 time(s).
Thank you

WroteI am new to this program and using the most recent version.
Unlikely it has to do with the SS version. Rather the Win.
"Save" may save anywhere for several times... then where ?
"Save as" saves where you address, as you have it on screen.
Your document did not evaporate by itself.

WroteVery strange... It is possible that you had the same file opened twice in the same instance?
That is the right answer, common mishandling.

Thank you both for your help! I will not make this mistake again
