You chose a non-existing font which named P1.
I replaced it with Arial in a text editor.
Here is your file fixed.

It shouldn't have gone for a fallback font while opening?

It doesn't seem to be an problem with the P1 font—I've always used it, and it worked perfectly before (my Windows system installed the P1 font). Additionally, when I opened the file today and switched the font to the P1, it functioned normally as well.
