[SS-3490] SMath 6528 won't start on Linux - Messages

SMath 0.98.6528 crashes on startup. Entered as bug SS-3490.
This machine is Kubuntu 17.10 64 bit, and it ran SMath 0.98.6484 fine.
$ mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 4.6.2 (Debian 4.6.2.7+dfsg-1ubuntu1)

Deleting folder ./config/SMath doesn't make any difference.

WroteHowever (next issue), CoolProps doesn't work. See attached screenshot.
SMath asked for some plugins, and these installed ok, but maybe some more are needed? How do I find out which ones are required?
This is a problem totally about the wrapper, that isn't yet cross-platform (issue #1115 on GitHub for reference)
