It is a recently introduced feature. AFAIK, there is no some kind of scrolling possibility yet. Actually, i think it is more desirable to see the part of a large matrix (upper left corner) contrary to just through it entirely into the worksheet and make a mess this way covering large portion of other regions. Use submatrix() if you want to see other parts, for instance.

Generally, a matrix rpresents something and is viewable otherwise:
1. Scale 0..255 => view as image
2. If it represents a surface: spline, plot 2D [rotate as well]
3. If cols mean Y values => plot as graph [list select cols]

Yes, that is much more desirable and very welcome, than having represented the entire large matrix. We can drag to the bottom and to the right and make it smaller or larger portion of the matrix upper left corner.
Scrolling through rows and columns is not possible, I think. Never mind, it is much better right now as it was before
