Hi,

I just started to use Smath today, and I can not believe how comfortable and good this program is (keeping in mind it is for free).
I actually going to use it for engineering, so I need to describe all the values in the equations.
For example

M:= F*m
F:= 6Newtons
m:= 2meters
The answer I want to get is M=12Nm
The answer I get is M=12J.

How do I change the answer to Nm?

Hello justinas, welcomw to us

The output unit is always a SI base unit. To have your desired unit go to the empty placeholder on the right and type what you need ('N*'m in your example)

best regards,

Davide

Hello,

there aren't moment and torque units in SMath (which is "Nm" in SI), therefore I define "Nm" in the invisible area:

'Nm:='N*'m

After that you can use "Nm" too.

Best regard

Peter
