If this has been asked before, I apologize but I was able to find an answer. Does Smath not support algebraic manipulation?
I tried to find substitute, expand, factor, simplify and do not see that supported. It was one of the main reasons I used MathCad.
I was hoping this software would be similar. Am I just completely missing where this functionality is located or does it not support this?

1. "substitute" Consult Martin latest handbook ... work yourself an example.
2. "simplify" from Smath menu. Will simplify some simple expressions like
pencil/paper. More maths expressions will expand in the executable form
completely useless. Example: a continued fraction of 12 terms will expands
serially over "zillion pages".
3. "expand, factor" ... transit via Maple ... maple(,,,,code the expression)

Smath is not a Mathcad clone.

... I collected a maths expression in 6 different equivalent forms.
Mathematica couldn't even find so many !
