Lost all math areas but the 1st one on saving! - Messages
#1 Posted: 4/21/2012 6:32:31 PM
I've created different contiguous math areas, each one plenty of formulas.
Then I've saved and closed the file.
When opening it again, I've found that all areas had been lost, except for the first one.
It was a shock, a half working day and lost all with a single action!!
Each area creates two separators, the first one with collapse button, it would be very fine, if worked..
To repeat the problem, then insert some math code in the area, then save and exit.
Reopen the file, then do you see all your data? Well, just create some other areas soon after in the document
(or just copy and paste to save time). Again, save and exit.
Now, reopen the file and... surprise, now you find the first area only.
It seems that during saving operations, it stops saving data after the first math area.
That's a pity, it would be a great SW, but it is frustrating to lose all data for an easy action like this...
Bye,
Netsaver
P.S. I don't find the way to attach files to the post, so I simply copy the result of above operations.
Remove it if too long for forum policy.

Netsaver,
I had a similar but not identical issue when the file name includes a period.

Hello,
Report the same problem!
1. For some reason file saved on my hard drive did not save correctly. It was saved, closed and opened and then I realised that all data below page break stamp just disappeared and no error or fault report was shown.
2. Probably there is the second problem which cost me already same data loss. This time with collapsable areas, when the line with ‘plus’ symbol (it starts this area) is missing, the end line produce the same problem as page break stamp.
Please help me … I am not going to spent my whole life rewriting documents.
