Hi!

Is there a way to make the size of the right hand toolbar font bigger? Those "arithmetic", "Symbols" etc?

I'm using this (Very good) program in my Surface 3 and those letters are so tiny they are difficult to read!

Mikko

It's more an option from "Surface 3". Option to zoom certain regions
when hovering the pointer. Get used to the keys of those side panel items,
that will solve the problem so you can hide the side panel.
Apparently "Wolfram [Mathematica] pocket gadget" does not suffer this problem.

Hello Mikko,

Nope, currently is not possible but Toolboxes's scaling behavior might be improved. Can you post a screenshot to see how they looks for you in respect to the program's fonts and system's fonts?

I think that this is the same problem I was having on my Surface 4. I will post /repost my screens.

Already answered. In short, you are asking Smath to be the gadget
that "Surface(s)" neglected or are unable to "UNIVERSALISE".
Who need "Surface(s)" ? Answer: Nobody. Why? Does not meet any ISO
In other words: does not pass QA.

Example: tomorrow, I'm hired as foreman of a construction plant 10 billions $
I have 2001 workers, 123456789 drawings & data sheets ...That's all what I need.

Jean Giraud-

Respectfully, you are not correct in this. I will get behind a buddy's workstation with 'real' hardware and post up screenshots of the same behavior on hires displays and windows 10.

As much as I hate to tell you this, tablet PC's are here to stay, and the Surface is a MAJOR player if not the new industry leader. It's industry innovation and it will only get better over time. Why would you hold on to a CRT display standard in a world of hires displays? And the Surface 5 comes out soon too. 4k monitor driven by NVidia hardware.

I have been using a tablet since XP, Fujitsu, Dell XT2, ST and ST3. Been there, done that too many times. Go find a Wacom Cintiq 22, 24 or 27 pen display, take one for a test drive. Then tell me about display standardization.

If you are working as big a job as you say you are, and you are NOT using tablets, you will be soon and you will see all sorts of fun things. You are better off accepting the Surface than having to choke on an iPad. Like Apple plays by any standardization rules? If you think that the Surface is a toy, then have a peek at some of the offerings from Lenovo and HP which are 'complina' only because their hardware is still in the dark ages. Hands down the Surface outperforms them all. I run A/E BIM and engineering and design software on mine. You know what the worst software on the Surface- Autocad. The best- Tekla and Adobe.

Best regards,

Dennis

Dennis,

I appreciate your comments. I speak in terms of "tracable engineering project"
Tracable from A<=Z wrt applicables standards and defendable in disputed causes.
You have a collection of gadgets but NO hard print: drawing/data sheets/fax modif ...

Sorry for absence. This Jean person seems to speak another language than me.

You could see the problem by standing 1,5 meters away from your 24" computer screen and try to see the symbols in the toolbar. They were tiny

And I say WERE, since now the software scales as it should when I set scaling to 200% under display settings. Some other programs still don't scale correctly, but this might be a win10 problem solely.

So, your problem is solved as it zooms the work sheet.
The side panel: you don't need. Those that don't have
a key code: get them from the f(x) menu.
Alternately: make a work sheet template of all of them.
So that you can construct by copying from the template.
