Hi all,

currently I have an issue opening some of my worksheets.
This is only with the newest version of SMath and plugins.

The error message is like (translated from German): ... Serif font not fond ..

I installed the February, 17th version and be able to open my worksheets again.
Though, I now need to downgrade the plugins too for the ZEDGraph areas to show up again.

Anyone else?

currently I try to figure out if any of the installed plugins (e .g. ZedGraph) causes the issue or if it is a main application issue.
I will post my findings as soon as I have them.

Hello,

now I disabled all the plugins not needed to run SMath properly.


(This is with the latest stable version of SMath)
Even with the disabled plugins, I 'am getting this error message.


With this, I assume, there is something with the main application.
There might be a chance the latest MS updates screwed something up,
but I 'am not allowed to change my system at this particular point.

My system is an Intel Core i7-4790 with 32GByte RAM, running Windows 7 64bit.

Please try the following

1) open smarh studio executable without loading worksheets; does this cause issues?
2) open a worksheet not related with zedgraph (there are many around here in the forum, see the Samples section); does this cause issues?
3) remove the
zedgraph plugin, then try to open your worksheet and skip the request to install the plugin; the file open (with zedgraph regions redcrossed) or you still notice the error message?

If the third test still fails please attach the file here or send it to me with a pm if the content can't be made public.

Top 1: No, no issue with that
Top 2: It depends. I have worksheets that work and some which don't
Top 3: This has no effect, the loaded page will be empty --> no text as well as no math here

As written before, I don't think it is related to ZedGraph.

But, if I go into my worksheet using notpad++ and removing the Tag fontName="Serif", then the worksheet will open again.
Even, with ZedGraph enabled.

Hence, this manually editing of the xml-files works currently for me.

Somehow, the definition what font represents "Serif" got lost in the new versions of SMath Studio or changed, because older version work just fine.

We probably can close this thread, but something should be tested against the older 0.99.6671 version, which works fine.
