I can't seem to figure out how to set up a For Loop. When I clik on For in the programming box I get for(x) with only one place holder. How do I enter the range variable?

This is a bug in the functions panel. You can add placeholder by typing argument separators (komma or semicolon, depending on your settings).
Alternatively, you can type for and select the appropriate version in the dynamic assistant.
To provide iterator values, use the range() function.
