Hello all,

My usual work is with gears, and while most of the units are "standard", the definitions for tooth size are somewhat problematic for most unit systems.

In metric tooth module is measured in Module with units of mm. In "non-metric" it's in Diametral Pitch with units of 1/in.

For standard calculations, just using units is all right. My problem comes when trying to make a viewer calculator for anything gear related - while I could make a separate metric and english calculators, it defeats the purpose of having built in units.

While I probably could go muck about in the units and lang files, I'd rather come up with a snippet style solution that's easy to port over to colleagues machines.

So is there a way to add a custom Dimension/Property folder in addition to custom Units by using snippets or other methods? While I'd rather not go down the route of an extension, I'll learn if I have to.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Dan
