I used the old MathCAD before MathCAD prime to solve Castigliano theorem with the Given and Find function;

MathCAD output for Castigliano theorem.jpg

I found a MathCAD Toolbox plugin within SMath Solver to use the solve block function that I hoped would be able to replicate this functionality however I cannot get this solver to find a solution!

I attach the worksheet from SMath Solver.

The first derivatives 3 parts solve similar to MathCAD however even plugging in values for the variables I cannot get the solve block to replicate what could be achieved with MathCAD in terms of given and find!

Can anyone please advise on how to replicate this functionality within SMath Solver to mimic old MathCAD as I am a newbie while using SMath Solver and hope to replace MathCAD with SMath Solver?

This is roughly how it is done in Mathcad, but getting the same result is not so easy.

Thanks sir I am impressed you could quickly roughly get a solve! I wanted to check with you that the .1888056555e is the mathematical constant e (euler's number)? The expression matches with the 3*R^3*F/El almost just the constant is a little different!

No, it's an exponential representation of a number.
