Hi. You can use maple's algsubs function (algebraic substitution)

algsubs.sm (6 КиБ) скачан 29 раз(а).

Best regards.

Greetings,

From the context of your question, I assume you already know how to use Algebra and that the math statement you supplied is just an example; that your true goal is not to learn basic algebra, but if SMath has support for such a mathematical operation that you will be able to apply it to very complex statements (e.g., Isolate and solve for a variable in a polynomial regression). As such I presume you want to view these values symbolically (you are not attempting to obtain a numerical answer, but you are actually trying to generate a mathematical equation.)

Maple is a Plugin you can install:

To expand off of [USERLINK]Razonar[/USERLINK]'s post; 🍁Maple has several functions, another ̶o̶n̶e function you can use is "solve": you can evaluate the equation symbolically:
SMath_Solve.jpg
I don't know how to isolate (2) variables, thus I am only able to isolate the (1) variable in this situation.

As a final note: instead of relying on SMath to isolate the term everytime you open your SMath Worksheet, you may want to copy/paste the result and use that math directly. There was another thread (i.e., https://en.smath.com/forum/yaf_postst23461_how-can-i-simplified-result.aspx) where Maple provided a different way to isolate the variable in question.

May this be of Good Help;
