Shortcut for entering greek letters - Сообщения
#1 Опубликовано: 24.06.2010 04:21:15
Good morning,
In engineering calculations there is a need to use greek letters as variables. In mathtype there is a special shortcut for entering single greek letter (you press 'ctrl+shift+G' then 'S' to enter Sigma for example). I understand it's not most important feature to request, but it can speedup formula entering process.
Thanks,
Denis

Hello, Denis.
In SMath Studio you need to enter S first and then to press Ctrl+G.

Unfortunately using a greek pallete or shortcuts cause blank spaces for me in Linux (Ubuntu).

Just remember their equivalent latin letter
1. normal p+CtrlG => π .... w+CtrlG => ω ... f+CtrlG => φ
2. capital S+CtrlG => Σ .... W+CtrlG => Ω ... F+CtrlG => Φ
3.
Same procedure in Equation description and in text.
In the forum: copy/paste the Greek from Smath sheet.
