Hello everyone,

I tried logging into the Wiki using my forum ID and password, but that did not work. When I tried to create a Wiki account, I am told that access is denied and that "You do not have access to this page". Is this a bug on the website? Or, is there another method for logging into the Wiki to contribute?

Thank you!

Good thing, otherwise there would be zillions of Wiki
that most would just be for file 13 [recycle file].
Documents that have interest are shared in Samples.

Interesting perspective. Why then does the "How YOU can help" page say these things below? I think your attitude about people contributing to a Wiki goes against the very heart and soul of Wikis. I need not attest to it, just visit any Wiki yourself and see how rich the content can be when an engaged community creates and edits helpful content.

"You can help us create a better wiki by reading this wiki, and editing it.

If you haven't edited a wiki before you might be bit worried that you'll break it. Don't worry about that, we have all sorts of ways of fixing things. Bear in mind that articles don't 'belong' to the original editor, feel free to modify them, in a helpful fashion. Here's a guide to the formatting commands for the articles.

Even just creating a blank page about something you don't understand can be a help, we don't know what you want to see!

If you've written a worksheet that you are proud of why not post it on the Examples page?

Even better, if you are a new user, why not write a tutorial?"

There is no Examples page in my native Smath.
Open Samples to see productive/tutoring documents.
By same token, Wiki Solve ... a piece of joke !
Doctored in the attached *.sm

Cubic solver Algo Style.sm (31 КиБ) скачан 25 раз(а).

Hi Jean,

Just to clarify, I posted a quote directly from the "How you can help" page, in which it says "If you've written a worksheet that you are proud of why not post it on the examples page?" I was not asking you that question directly; I was just copying and pasting the content of the Wiki page to show that the Wiki seems to indicate that it is intended to be edited and modified by other individuals.

This is the examples page that is referenced to in the Wiki: https://smath.com/wiki/Examples.ashx

Again, this is sidetracking my main point. I'm more interested in how we, as individual contributors, can create and modify Wiki pages to help make it a more useful resource for all people.

Hopefully someone can come along with some specific suggestions on how to sign up for a Wiki account.

Thanks

Currently the Wiki has several key-pages broken, also you need a separate account (AFAIK). The best thing is to ask directly Andrey (via mail or PM).

Bad thing, the Wiki was made to have a community-based documentation, with compact examples easy to understand; if done correclty, it would be a valuable resource.

Since it is a wiki, a page can be made by anyone with a basic knowledge of the program and enhanced by iterations.

"Samples" forum section is for examples of any complexity and related discussions.

Most of us have learned Mathcad from Mathcad 8. Pro.
Delivered with > 100 basic models and many links.
Good idea Smath collects examples on same principle.
Take care ... Jean.
