This is a continuation of my previous question. Attached are 3 pdf files. Two are MATHCAD and one is SMATH for the same calculations of simultaneous coupled difference equations. The SMATH file has the snippet expanded. Since MATHCAD uses reference files, one file is the reference file and the other is the reminder of the calculation.
The MATHCAD completes 9000 time steps instantaneously. SMATH takes 193 seconds for just 14 time steps. If I increase the SMATH time steps to 20, it was still running well after an hour. I realize that SMATH is slow compared to MATHCAD, but this difference really surprises me.
In SMATH I have selected all and chosen numerical optimization. I also have used eval in the final coupled difference equations; it is the time hungry culprit.
Файл не найден.Файл не найден.Файл не найден.
Is there something else I can do to make SMATH practical for these calculations?
If you want the sm files, I will be happy to provide.
If you want to know my interest in this, I will be happy to provide that also.
As always, thanks for any help.
