Hi all

Firstly, Happy New Year to all.

I just started using this tool, thanks to the creator(s).

I have some vectors that I want to dump to a file. I tried to search this forum and also had a look at the tutorials available but can't find any info.

Is this possible and how?

Steven

Hello Steven,

Take a look at this link at Wiki Data files and see other Tutorials available there.

Thanks Radovan

I now have the following problem, I'm trying to import the file into Excel. Some of the data is imported correctly while excel convert other data to dates (this is due to the structure of the data in the file). I tried to read the data via a quick python script I wrote but this also fails because the data in the file is not consistent. For example

at the beginning of the file you have data that looks like this, which is one entry of a vector.
6035700/{5900+2100*e^{115700/34717}}, my script convert this no problem but then the data structure change to ,60357/80,
and yet later the structure changes again to {6035700*e^{1780/88953}}/{2100+5900*e^{1780/88953}}

Why not just write the value stored in the vector to the file i.e. 745.89213

I'm sure there must be a valid reason for this. Any suggestions on getting the data in a spreadsheet will be appreciated.

Steven

Hello Steven,

Besides the SMath read/write functions, as far as I know there are at least two things you could try to exchange data between SMath and Excel. The first one is an Excel plugin. I am not quite sure it would work in the recent 0.89.8 version. We will see how the things will go on with the new announced version (planned for 10 January, as Andrey said). The second one is SMath Matrix Editor.. You can download it from Wiki as well SMathMatrixEditor v1.2

Regards,
Radovan
