When I run SMath 0.89 and check for updates I get the following dialog box, which says SMath Studio Desktop Portable. I know there is a portable version that can be run from flash drive and the desktop version. Which is it? I would think I should be running the msi for Windows desktop.

Hello. This is a know bug of the 0.89.8 version - program requests for the new version with wrong platform flag. This happens only if you opened the program by double-clicking on the .sm/.smx file (it will not happen if you open SMath Studio from the Start Menu or using Shortcut). Not sure about previous versions of SMath Studio but I can't reproduce this issue for the released 0.90.

Okay. I was able to update SMath Desktop to 0.9. When it launched I get the following error dialog. That because some of the plugins were developed for 0.89 Stable.



I removed all the old plugin, leaving only those dated 1/10/12 and it works. The developer is going to have to update their plugins and post for distribution.
