Set a default unit? - Сообщения
#1 Опубликовано: 24.01.2017 17:23:30
I'm new here so please bear with me.
Smath seems to prefer certain units. For example it defaults to Watts over kilowatts units in the final answer when solving equations.
My question is: Can I change a setting that will cause Smath to default to kW over W, or N/m^2 rather than Pa when solving equations.
Thanks in advance.

Often, the best way to deal with units is not to carry units.
Just proceed with the given Engineering formula and transform
the result in the desired system. These two examples should
guide as applicable to other Engineering works.

As for now it is not possible. You can join the feature request here: [SS-1].

In advance, I vote against this idea. Work your project as given
in its native system ... convert result ... something like this:
Up the work sheet define the MW:=0.000001
Your project is in 'W', result=123456789
In the place holder of result, multiply/paste MW
get the nice result 123.456789MW
that you can round 123.5 MW

Does anyone know if this is going to be a thing? It seems that it would be in either the sittings file or the units file. Either way, it would be nice to pick default units.
