I encountered this today just by coincidence.
Bug sometimes lock smath, sometimes made it force crash.
Fortunately in this example, lock or force crash is not an issue.
Region easily could be deleted. I use smath under linux with mono by the way.
Actually, three dash and linefeed is enough for this glitch.

in windows this does not happen, windows is boring :d
