I need assistance in finding out how to program work sheets as a first time person to SMath.
I have a sheet of PDF paper to post due to a problem I am unsure about. How do I attach a PDF
to this post? Thank you Kevin. Forget the help in up-load I figured it out. The question is in PDF format.

Just tried out all three and none got the answer I need. I am a older person who has not been in school 40+years and math was never a good subject for me. I need this program plus a book called Beginning Algebra for a new hobby of mine home electronic study. Best Kevin

+Another programming question if I may. I have a expression. Given a=-2, b=5, and d=6. Example 4(2a-d). When i do this expression one way I get one answer and another way I get a different answer.
Example #1 2*a-d*4 = wrong answer
Example #2 [(2*a)=ans.#A] end box [put answer down again then - d =ans.#B] end box [put 4*ans.#b= correct answer]
Am I working the program right or is there a way to link all the expression together the right way by doing what is inside of the parenthesis first then multiplying the answer second. Also which tutorial that any body knows about can teach me this basic programing expression so I can learn the right way the first time? Thank you Kevin

Many thanks for your post w3b5ufer. I was able to figure out how to program a:=-2 b:=5 and d:=6 expression well enough. I still have problems understanding the other expression thou. Is there a pdf any where that teaches that aspect? How did you come up with Radius_of_ball=5.6742 answer?
The := sign is supposed to designate something after it like x:=2 designates x=2. So where does 5.6742 come from? Best Kevin Since I posted this question I have found your Wiki site and have been working on Useing SMath as a simply calculator. I found this to be very helpful but a question arises. Is that pdf finished or is it a piece of work in progress? The reason is it explains some thing and does not supply a example for the answer. What gives as I am new and trying to figure your site out? Best to you thou Kevin

Hi,

look here: SMath wiki: Tutorials

There are many PDF basic tutorials (Getting Started with SMath Studio), advanced tutorials (Tutorials on graphics, programming, matrices) and Video demonstration with audio comments (Video tutorials).
