Reservoir Flood Capacity Estimation - Basic approach to calculate capacity of a reservoir to absorb a given flood - Сообщения
The attached file shows basic steps involved in estimating the capacity of a proposed reservoir to absorb a flood of a given return period.
The required data are (a) Inflow Hydrograph and (b) Elevation/Area (Topography of the reservoir site).
The reservoir has a bottom outlet which can release a maximum of 200 cumec to prevent inundation of a nearby town area downstream of the proposed reservoir.
This is based on a project study undertaken in Sri Lanka.Reservoir Flood Capacity Estimation.sm (188 КиБ) скачан 273 раз(а).

Very impressive, thank you
Just a small typo after the definition of function CtoE(x,X), I think. The call is CtoL(x,CC) (L instead of E)

Radovan

When Sisyphus climbed to the top of a hill, they said: "Wrong boulder!"
Thank you.

Many thanks to omorr for pointing out the typo in call to CtoL(x,CC), next to the definition of the function CtoE(x,X).
It should be corrected as CtoE(x,CC).The result will be CtoE(x,CC)=60m, where CC has been defined as 150 MCM.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
