Hello,
can you help me with exporting of data, please? I need export data from Smath to any txt, csv, or xls file. I tried ExcelCollab plugin, but it is not function in version 0.95. If I made matrix using function augment and than save this matrix to file with function wfile it is in bad format, not exportable to excel.
For me is very important possibility make graphs in excel or gnuplot. Do you know how can I solve this problem?
Thank you for help
Martin

Hi,
the excel plugin indeed is somewhat broken. You can write data to a file and read in again but excel can't read that file. Also reading in does not work for floating point numbers, just for integers or strings. Keep in mind, that the file must exist before reading or writing to it.
Alternative would be to use wfile with separate vectors for individual columns and replace the argument delimiters (e.g.
by newlines. Then gnuplot should cope. Eventuelly, you can define an input format directly in gnuplot. I never did data export. Rather I would then go for Maxima, Octave, Scilab or the like. SMath for me is fine as long I can take advantage of the GUI and the 2D doc format. Of course, all these tools would be able to read wfile format (with some regexp coding) and make nice plots out of these. However, they could generate the data perhaps directly.
