for some strange reason I cannot print my worksheet, neither in pdf file (virtual printer) nor in real printer, even in the print preview I only get a blank sheet.

Hi. Your problem seems to be related with the printer (reals or virtuals) in your OS. But the option "Save as ..." and then "PDF Files" it's more related with the SMath installation because it have it's own DLL in a plugin for do that. Can you save SMath documents as PDF files in this way?

Jean Giraud ...the problem is not of a file, but of several files that when trying to print or create a pdf only a blank sheet is generated.

Razonar... happens exactly the same when I use the save as option.

I have already discovered the origin of the problem, the error occurs in the worksheets in which I have the print grid box enabled

If I uncheck this option from the menu (file / print settings) I can print normally without problems

Hi. You're wright. It's a general bug. I get also a blank pdf file saving as PDF and printing with the micrsoft PDF drive as printer after check the Grid box in the options, as you say.

Same blank page printing behavior with grid enabled under Linux.
Both with "Cups-Pdf" and "Save as Pdf".
Don't have a printer hardware but probably would be blank on it too.

My SS 6179 saves *.PDF from virtual CutePdf, for years and Mathcad/Mathsoft.
Have you tried as suggested ? Your Win.7 will do, maybe not your Linux.
"Save as Pdf" ... you mean from some SS version ???

I can reproduce the problem both for save as pdf (using the plugin) as well as using MS Print to PDF in 7632. 7610 is ok.

The same thing happened to me as well. I bought an HP DesignJet HD Pro MFP from House of Toner. After few days, I was not able to print anything. After googling for more than 3 hours, I finally found the solution.

Just check these things and your problem will be solved:

1- Check Your Printer's Error Lights.
2- Clear the Printer Queue.
3- Install the Drivers and Software.
4- Check that Paper Is Installed (Not Jammed).
5- Fiddle with the Ink Cartridges.

These are the possible problems that are stopping your printer from printing.

I can reproduce the problem both for save as pdf (using the plugin) as well as using MS Print to PDF in 7632. 7610 is ok.

Is your printer driver working correctly try reinstalling or troubleshooting the driver. Can help solve the issue.

I use freeware CutePDF as virtual printer ... Perfect result !
