You don't use the Solve() function correctly. The second argument is a list of variables (names), not a list of equations. Solve() is a symbolic procedure and doesn't need initial values.
In your case, there are two solutions because the variable V appears only squared.
Solve returns two lists of equations, which can be applied using Assign() for assignment of the solution variables.
