Maximize Challenge - Converting a Solve Block from MC - Messages

Hello,
Trying to convert a MC file using Overloard's: "maximize_minimize with different solvers.sm", but ran into errors. Please see the attached.
I welcome any recommendations to move forward.

This is what a slightly newer version of maple thinks about the derivative of the real part of a complex

I assume that neither SMath nor its version of maple can get that, and if they could, handling it numerically might be tricky.
Three possible methods to solve it are attached.

Hello Norm,
1. The graph you have plotted, make it scalar and use GOLDEN ratio
to find max wrt various R,C,f
2. Your way of finding max will fail two cols vector
if first col is of much larger magnitude than col 2
