Slow opening due to Background Image - Files are opening very slowly when there is a background image - Messages

Hi,
I am using the SMath for a while, and I really like it. First of all, I would like to thank you for all your efforts.
After I started to using latest version (0.99 - 6839), my files with background images are opening very slowly. Also after the file is opened, any action that I make takes longer than usual. I used the same background image with the older versions but I didn't have the same problem.
I am attaching the same file with and without the background image. In my computer, it takes to 10.673 sec to open the file with the background image, and it takes less than a second when there is no background image.

I opened your files with the latest beta of Smath. The slowdown is much more modest than what you have indicated. I note the size of the two files that the background image is very heavy (about 2 Mb ) and from what I see does not seem justified for the background you get: I think you can do a reduction operation (externally to smath) and optimize the file

Hello.
Workaround suggested by Sergio works for me.
In addition I would suggest to use the latest features implemented in SMath Studio: Header/Footer and Full page background together with correct margins. Here is what I get as a result:
BackgroundTest_mod.sm (397 KiB) downloaded 48 time(s).
Regarding performance - I will fix it soon.
Best regards.

Thanks for your replies. I will try Andrey's file.
But just for future reference, I downloaded an older version (0.99 6671) and tested another file which is larger (11 pages, same background image, similar amount of calculation per page) it is opened less than a second. Please don't get me wrong, besides the things that I did not do in an optimal way, I just wanted to let you now there is an interesting performance issue. Thank you very much again for your quick replies.
Best regards.

Jean, this is just an example. User may want to use image with even more resolution because of different reasons (i.e. requirements in the company). The main question is that SMath Studio should be prepared for such situations.
So, it is something to be done in any case.
Best regards.
