I have a simple integral calculation which contains a varable "n". If this variable is calculated in an earlier step, a wrong result is returned; the same calculation with a defined value for the variable (called "n2" in the example), the correct result appears. SMath Studio version 0.99, build 7030.

Is there a possibility to upload my sample file?

What version are you running?

I'm not seeing this issue on 7109.

Might help if you also posted the .sm file in question.

Are you concerned with the fractional result on the red?

If so right click on that section and change optimization to numeric. You'll get a numeric result.

Doesn't help, I still get "-18" in the left section (which isn't correct IMHO and still deiffers from the result on the right side (green))

Ok I just tried this in 7030 (latest stable) and can confirm I get the same results as you. This looks like a bug.

when I performed the same calculation in the newest beta version, the results seem correct.

Always plot the integrand for reluctant region.
Doctored SS 6179 ... seemingly same as SS7109
