For comparison, the true value for your semi-annulus is given by 4*Reff/(3pi),
where Reff = ( (R-r)^2 + 3R*r )/(R+r).

With R=1 and r = 0.9 this is 0.60534722.

Oh, I see. The intention is to use statistical functions. This vectorized version can replicate more or less the results, but SMath is very slow for large vectors.
